Lucky Seal Escape Great White attack but loses tail – Watch video!

On Sunday, 6 January, our boat went out to Robberg Peninsula where our customers did and amazing dive and snorkel excursion with the Cape Fur seals.

On the fun snorkeling adventure we came across this very special seal without a tail. We believe that this seal managed to escape from a Great White shark , however he lost his tail in the process!  When he appeared in front of us he was full of energy, super fast and extremely playful.  We absolutely loved his company as he stuck around for the whole excursion, showing off his great swimming technique.

On this excursion we also heard the beautiful squeaks and whistles of the Bottlenose Dolphins playing nearby and even managed to get a glimpse of them swimming under us for a few seconds.

What an incredibly beautiful and special experience!
